Sparrows Can't Sing (1963) Dir: Joan Littlewood was shot on location in Limehouse, Isle of Dogs, Stepney, and in Stratford in the early 1960s, Sparrows Can't Sing captures a lost London of characters and locations. Featuring a stand-out early role for Barbara Windsor, it also stars James Booth, Roy Kinnear and Brian Murphy.
