Sadly no active cinemas remain in Leytonstone today but we believe we have an important cinematic legacy and heritage that is important to revisit, explore and bring to life.
Using the few surviving, rare images and glimpses of these cinema buildings with support and guidance from a duo team of a local architectural design, drawing specialist and international public artist, participants will reconstruct, reimagine and once again bring to life these lost buildings by creating visual, mixed media representations of what once existed.
Pieces produced will be photographed and launched in an online exhibition. Suitable for adults only.
