Film posters have come a long way since the very first film poster for the Lumiere Brothers’ film L'Arroseur arrosé at the Grand Café in 1895!
Before the 1980’s photos were far less common on posters, instead illustrations, drawings and paintings were generally used with rousing taglines.
In this special group workshop you will have the opportunity to learn a little about the history of film posters, look at famous examples and recreate or re-imagine in your own style any film poster from the available selection or a film poster of your choice, working from examples found online or on your phone/device.
All pieces produced will be photographed and launched in an online exhibition.
